Prior to tonight, RAW's last visit to the arena was for two separate shows in 2002. Later, The Rock defeated Kurt Angle to win his 6th WWE Championship. The Game won the second match, which was a Street Fight, and later, he clinched the win with a pin in their Steel Cage Match. Austin recorded the first fall in a standard WWE rules match. In another double main event, Triple H defeated Stone Cold in a unique Three Stages of Hell match. The University of Nevada-Las Vegas also hosted a WWE pay-per-view in 2001, when No Way Out came to the Thomas & Mack. Later, Batista made history by defending his World Heavyweight Championship in a Hell in a Cell match, becoming the first man to defeat Triple H in such a match. In the first half, John Cena retained his WWE Championship by defeating Chris Jericho and Christian in a Triple Threat match. The blockbuster event had two huge main events. WWE‘s last visit to the Thomas & Mack Center was for the Vengeance pay-per-view in June of 2005. The Thomas & Mack Center, located just minutes from the famous Las Vegas strip has long been a popular host of big-time wrestling and boxing events. RAW makes its return to the campus of UNLV tonight for a live edition of Monday Night RAW.
